The Office of Housing and Community Development has posted a draft of the proposed Action Plan for HUD’s Recovery Housing Program. The Recovery Housing Program (RHP) allows states and the District of Columbia to provide stable, transitional housing for individuals in recovery from a substance-use disorder. The funding covers a period of not more than two years or until the individual secures permanent housing, whichever is earlier. This document will be available for review beginning today July 26, 2021 on our website at https://ohcd.ri.gov/. Comments will be accepted through 4pm August 12, 2021. CDBG/CV – Basic Needs
The State Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) is pleased to announce the availability of $1.5-$2M in Community Development Block Grant, COVID (CDBG/CV) funding in support of Basic Needs (Public facility/Service) projects related to COVID needs. This resource is generally governed by CDBG regulations. Applications forms/materials are listed below. The overall CDBG/CV Handbook is also listed below for reference - Please note, however, this handbook contains some content applicable to activities not requested through this RFP which is limited to affordable housing.
The due date for application is by 3pm on Monday, March 15, 2021. Applications, in their entirety, must be submitted in a single email to Kimberly Crabill at Kimberly.Crabill@doa.ri.gov. Applicants are cautioned to factor time necessary for files to transmit electronically by the deadline. No applications will be accepted after the due date and time specified in this RFP.
